Jump Rope Workout Fun!
Posted on Sep 30, 2010 under jump rope workout | No CommentWelcome to the jump rope workout! This is by far one of the most enjoyable ways ever invented to give your health the boost you’re looking for. Professionals agree to have optimum health, it is essential to have great habits in three areas:
- good nutrition
- muscle development
- cardiovascular — or heart health.
The jump rope workout is primarily aimed at cardiovascular health, but when done the right way, it can lead to muscular development as well.
When you have been jumping rope for a little as 30 days, you will notice a remarkable improvement in muscle tone all over your body. Stubborn body fat melts off, even that hard-to-lose belly fat will be gone. Using proven techniques, you can firm your arms, tighten your butt, shape up your shoulders, and reduce your waistline. The jump rope workout is fun and exhilarating — giving you an energy boost that will last throughout your day.
To pick the right rope for you consider these tips:
- Stand on the rope with both feet, the handles should come to your arm pits.
- If the rope is too long, it will be difficult to manage, but you should be able to pull the rope through the handle and snip off the extra length.
- If it is too short, you may get snagged up an uncomfortable number of times — check to see if it is manageable — if not, go for a longer length.
Alternatively, you might check out a “ropeless” jump rope. These are perfect for home workouts and I’ll talk more about them later.
When you’re first starting with the jump rope workout, it is a good idea to start slow. As with any exercise routine, you want to pace yourself while you work up to your capacity.
Begin with 30 seconds of jumping, then a 10 second rest. Repeat until you feel like you can jump for 45 seconds with a 15 second break. Gradually, you’ll be able to jump for a minute, then two, then ten. But work at your own pace, your personal fitness level will determine how much you can do.
You will be amazed at how quickly you will improve your overall health by just adding a few minutes each day to your routine. Jumping rope is truly one of the very quickest way to see real results.
